This page explains how to delete your BOOK N SHINE (SHINEE) customer app account and the personal data linked to it. The app is operated by Woltrage, Bihar, India. For the SHINE PARTNER business app, see the separate SHINE PARTNER deletion page.
Option 1 — Delete your account inside the app
1. Open the BOOK N SHINE app and sign in with your phone number and OTP.
2. Go to your Profile.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account is deleted and you are signed out immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app, email hello@shinee.in with the subject "Delete my BOOK N SHINE account" and include the mobile number registered on your account. We will verify that you own the number (for example by sending an OTP to it) and then delete the account. Requests are processed within 7 working days.
What is deleted
Personal data: your name, phone number, email address, profile photo, and location preferences.
Account information: your login identity (phone number), push-notification token, referral code link, and Shine Coins / Discount Coins balance (coins are forfeited and cannot be recovered).
Your content: ratings and reviews you posted are removed or anonymised so they are no longer linked to you.
Booking history: your booking list is removed from your account and is no longer visible to you.
What may be retained, and why
Payment and transaction records (booking reference, amount, date, payment status) are retained for as long as required by applicable Indian tax and accounting law, because we are legally required to keep financial records. These records are kept separately from your deleted profile.
Records of the businesses you booked: the business you booked keeps its own record of the appointment (service, date/time) as part of its business records; your name and phone number are no longer linked to your BOOK N SHINE account.
Dispute, fraud or legal records: if there is an open payment dispute, refund, or legal matter, the related records are retained until it is resolved.
What happens after deletion
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose your booking history, coins, and referral rewards. Any upcoming bookings should be cancelled in the app before you delete your account, because deletion does not automatically refund them. You can create a new account later with the same phone number, but previous data will not be restored.
